More Than a Race—A Turkey Day Tradition!

Start Your Turkey Day with Gratitude, Community & a Side of Pancakes!

Lace up and trot on over to one of South Metro Denver’s favorite Thanksgiving traditions—the Turkey Day 5K, now in its 21st year of fun, fitness, and festive vibes! Held each Thanksgiving morning in Highlands Ranch, this gobble-worthy gathering brings together over 3,000 runners, walkers, and wobblers to kick off the holiday with heart, humor, and heaps of gratitude.

The race starts and finishes near Halftime Help Stadium, with a welcoming 5K course perfect for participants of all paces. Bring the whole flock—baby strollers and friendly pups are invited too! Whether you're chasing a new PR or just soaking in the morning with friends and family, this event is all about moving together before the feasting begins.

After crossing the finish line, follow your nose to our post-race pancake breakfast, where a suggested $10 donationhelps support the Douglas County Fallen Officer Fund—a chance to give thanks by giving back to local families of fallen law enforcement heroes.

And for our 21+ turkeys, the celebration continues in the Beer Garden, where you can raise a glass (or a can) and toast to a well-earned brew before heading home to your Thanksgiving feast.

Rain, snow, or shine—we wobble and gobble!
Race registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
